Meet DJ Nixx
With any and every genre, Nixx has rocked dance floors since 2008. Her talent as a DJ has made her one of the most sought after DJs in the industry, and the DJs she has added to her team have only boosted her reputation for settling for nothing but the best.
Career
Nixx has been on the scene since 2008 while growing up around music her entire life, especially in dance or singing. At age 10, her mother taught her how to use turntables on their old Technics, with, in particular, Michael Jackson’s “Off the Wall” and Stevie Wonder's "Songs in the Key of Life" records.
Nixx has been working in the nightlife industry since the age of 18. This has allowed her to take in the music of countless different types of Djs every night and slowly gain influence from them. By the time she started spinning, she had a vision of exactly how she wanted to express herself and her love of music. This expression was to give the crowd what they want, but in a style all her own…Nixx has been known as the DJ to always keep you guessing; She’ll run from Old School to Disco to Hip Hop to Top 40 to EDM/House but always find a way to make sense with it, “Growing up, I was always listening to Motown, blues, R&B, funk, disco, soul, hip hop, rock, and everything in between. I love being able to play around with all of these different genres in my sets”, she says.
Not only does Nixx bring a vast musical knowledge to her sets, but she has also done nights with additional talent, including live vocalists, instrumentalists, and dancers. Respectively, Nixx has deeJayed alongside producer/DJ Lil Jon and also Grammy Award-winning artist Ciara at MGM Liquid Sundays Pool Party. She has also spun with Celebrity DJ's Samantha Ronson & Sky Nellor, rocked parties with celebrities like Lindsay Lohan and Floyd Mayweather, and even played nights with country artists Reckless Kelly, Wade Bowen, Kevin Fowler, Rodney Hayden, and Casey Donahew.
On top of her star-studded resume, Nixx has also DeeJayed countless weddings in multiple cities from Boston to Austin. She was awarded "Best of The Knot" for 2016, 2017, 2018, 2019, 2020, 2022, 2023, 2024!
Nixx has also rocked exclusive corporate events with names including Porsche, Whole Foods, Under Armour, Nike, Victoria's Secret, SXSW Music Festival Austin, POPSugar, Red Sox charities, etc., and not to mention countless other nightclubs and private parties. So whether it's a club, corporate, or wedding event, local or international, Nixx has something for her incredible clients.
