Integrating her passion for music and artistry with her technical background in audio engineering, Laura aka DJ Helios launched her career in 2015.

She loves the universality of music and how people can celebrate community, culture and life on the dance floor. Helios coined the term “Hype You Up” to describe her mixes and her DJ style, bringing high energy tracks and seamless transitions between genres, decades and artists.

She fuses beats and pulls inspiration from her Mexican roots, her love of hip hop, house and funky edits. Helios prides herself on being a fully versatile DJ/MC - being truly bilingual and spinning anywhere from Cuatro Gato and Coconut Club to corporate events and markets. She loves working with local brands and businesses and was just featured on Voyage Austin Magazine!
